We spent the later part of August vacationing at Izatys resort in Onamia, MN. The weather was pretty windy, cold and chilly the first couple days, but got better towards the middle of the week. We watched a lot of movies in our unit the first couple days.
Gallops posed for photos while John and Drew climbed the VERY TALL tower.
Drew had lots of Minecraft time on the couch this vacation.
Drew was being silly sliding down the steps and making funny noises and faces.
When the weather got a little nicer we did some reading out on the patio.
Gallops just wouldn't stop posing for photos.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the clubhouse ran some fun art projects. The activities coordinator, Leah, was almost more silly than Drew. They had a fun time together.
The next class Drew wants to take is ping pong. He thinks it's a pretty fun sport.
Here are all of Drew's finished art projects.
The last project was a sun visor. This is Drew and Leah posing together. It almost looks like they have matching visors.
The week before school started we had all the moms and kids over for one last hoorah. The weather turned out to be cold and rainy, but the kids still enjoyed the pool.
Drew has been busy practicing flag football on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The final game is coming up Sept. 22nd.
Labor Day weekend the Espinosas came over for some lake fun. Drew took some time out in his nearly finished tree house to watch some of the action in the pool.
Our new beginnings began yesterday when Drew started Kindergarten. This is his first K breakfast upon request--blueberry pancakes.
Drew is attending Level Up Academy in White Bear Lake. It's a charter school for grades K-5. His first day went really well. His favorites things so far are lunch and recess. He was looking forward to gym class today. Both Drew and I were ready for the change, and everything went off without a hitch. Soon I'll be starting my coursework towards my MN teaching license, and looking for some part time work. We will keep you updated on that venture.
