It's been the month of pets! Drew found Nutty outside in the back of the house. Nutty came right up to him, and wanted to play. We brought him in the house for the night, and he slept in the bathroom. The next day, he followed Drew around the yard. We ended up giving him to the neighbor, because she likes to rescue squirrels.
The next week we took in Haggard as our first foster dog. He will stay with us until May 28th, when he needs to go back to the Human Society for his heart worm treatment.
Two days later we picked up 3 Foster kitties: Jake, Fabrizio, and Ruth. Jake likes people the most, so Drew has been having all sorts of fun carrying him around like a baby. They are staying with us until they are old enough to be spayed, and neutered.
Drew has been great at feeding, giving medicine, giving walks, petting, playing, etc.
That is all so cute! What a wonderful opportunity for Drew to learn about animals, and be a caretaker...it's a 'win-win' situation. Nice!
