Mid-April

The weather has been fantastic!  Drew has been enjoying just hanging out by the lake.

What is this?

Drew had a art show at his preschool.  He had fun showing me all of his art projects.

His friend Victoria came to the art show too.

Last week we went to Hidden Falls Regional Park in St. Paul.  We did a little hiking, and rock tossing along the Mississippi.

To Easter and Beyond.....

On the 28th of March I took Drew to an Easter Egg hunt in Vadnais Heights, and this Easter Egg hunt went so much better than last years Easter Egg Hunt.  Last year Drew didn't get a single egg because there were so many kids, and it just wasn't organized.

I was pretty excited about this Easter Egg hunt because they had it arranged into different age categories for the kids to look for eggs.
We found our area quickly....it was ages 4-5 and the bunny came just on time.

He was a big funny bunny, and he was up for the photo op, for sure.

Here are some photos of Drew before the Easter egg hunt  He was so excited for that hunt.  It was really fun for him to know that he was going to line up with a bunch of kids and go for it....He found 3 eggs, and 1 of them had a hidden treasure.  We exchanged the piece of paper treasure for blow bubbles.  Well, dang.... the bubbles spilled quickly after we got home.

After that we went to the the Vadnais Heights Elementary Schoolhttp://www.whitebear.k12.mn.us/VadnaisHeights/
for the school carnival.   Drew played games that allowed him to get lots of free trinkets.

It was a nice day when we had the winter tires changed on the car.  We sat outside and worked on our sticker book.

This little masterpiece is from a workshop that Drew went to at KidCreate studio in Woodbury.   It was a discounted class, so the family only paid $15 dollars for this little gem.  He LOVED it, and asked if he could go to another workshop.

On the day of the badger final four we went for a bike ride, and we wound up trecking through the Centerville Elementary School playground wooded woods....Believe it or not, John brought his bike to go down in the woods and explore.  BTW, the Badgers won and made it to the Championship game.

At home the guys worked on cleaning the cars.

The lake thawed out the first week of April.

Not to mention that the night before the lake thawed out.....it was Easter.  That Easter Bunny did a great job.  He hid a bunch of eggs all over the place, and hid the basket behind a different chair this year.

So, the Easter Bunny left Drew a clay pot maker.  That Easter Bunny is something else.  Drew shows the many faces of clay pot making.  LOL!

Daddy even got a new grill for Easter.  It wasn't from the Easter Bunny though.

New Happenings

This cute guy likes to get up close and personal with the camera.

On St. Patty's Day Drew was treated to the MVP cut at Sports clip.  We saved some of his hair to bring home and dye.  We used it for a mustache on his leprechuan puppet.

Drew ran 1/3 mile in Centerville as a part of the Shamrock Shuffle. He made it on the front page of the paper.  If you look closely you can see his dad right in back of him.

Last weekend Wargo had their Maple Festival.  Drew was excited to go and see how the sap was coming out of the tree.

We went birthday shopping for Bryce, and Drew found a new baby for himself.  He named him baby Jack.

Drew has been asking and asking to go to Lilypad ceramics.  He painted his own little dragon, and together we worked on something for his dad.  He can barely wait to go and pick it up next week.

Drew has been helping me cook lately.  He's learned how to cook, BBQ, Taco Pizza and today he made his own macaroni and cheese, while making brownies.  He's multitasking now....

He sure is a helpful guy.

March Madness

We've been having all sorts of fun in March.  We went to Pump It Up with the Jewitt boys.  We stopped for some Pizza at the Andover Bowling Alley.  It was pretty much the worst pizza we had ever eaten in our lives.  We ended the afternoon swimming at the YMCA pool in Anover.

Every other day Drew has been having a dance party.  This party was with Professor Wizeman's wig.

This is the "HUNGRY" face.  Another words...."I'm starving."

This past week was pretty good weather.  Almost every day it was 60 degrees or hotter.   One day we met Kati and Lilah for some fun in the park.

We got out the bikes and went for a nice bike ride too.  We stopped for a snack break at Centerville Lake.  Drew didn't share his cookie with Nala.

Drew gives a hoot, and doesn't like it when other pollute.  He walked out on the lake to pick up this bottle.

We went to Kiddywampus, and Drew styled his hair for the occasion.

John and Drew did the Shamrock Shuffle uptown.   John got 3rd place in his age bracket, and Drew got a medal.
